Wow, another new year is upon us. Thats great as it means another great year of diving adventures ahead. We look forward to helping you have your best year of diving yet! I'd like to ask you a few questions to get you thinking of where you want to be as a diver this year.
1. What are your diving goals for 2008?
2. What new locations do you want to dive this year?
3. What new piece of dive gear do you want this year?
4. How much diving do you plan to do?
5. What can Scuba Cowboys do to make 2008 a memorable dive year?
If you're reading this, please feel free to call, e-mail or stop by and give me your answers. These are questions I ask myself at the start of each new year. Heres my answers for 2008:
1. My diving goals for this year are the same as most years, I want to continue my education and dive more. If you're not continuing to learn all you can about diving, you're really short changing yourself as diving has so much to offer. The old adage "a good diver is always learning" goes for dive instructors and dive shop owners as well. I enrolled in a rebreather training course that will be taking place soon. Its time for a new challenge for me!
2. As many of you know, I LOVE to wreck dive, and this year I want to go where I can dive some new wrecks. In February, a few of us are heading to Florida to dive the Oriskany and Spiegel Grove, two that have been on my must dive list for awhile. I'm also planning to join up with a technical diving trip to somewhere exotic to deep wreck dive later this year. We'd also like to visit Cabo San Lucas this summer.
3. This years new piece of gear for me is going to be a rebreather. I hope to be able to share this new technology with you all in the future. We are bringing in some new equipment lines to help meet your needs. Tusa, Neosport and Atomic Aquatics are a few new lines we'll be carrying in 2008. We try to have only the best in dive equipment to assure you of lots of underwater enjoyment.
4. I plan to do lots of diving this year. The past 2 years I've logged well over 100 dives each year. This year I'm shootin' for 200!
5. What Scuba Cowboys does for me is allow me to share my passion for scuba diving with as many people as possible. This is the reason I opened this shop.
While your goals and diving wishes are probably different from mine, what we can do is help each other to reach them. Every time we dive together this year, we'll be one step closer to one of our goals.
